One of the greatest experiences that you can have is to volunteer your time overseas. I've always said that you can never see the world the same after being part of a missions trip. There are so many different needs around the world that everyone can find a place for their gifts. Don't miss the chance to make a difference in this world!
VOLUNTEERING
You may be wondering how you can help as a student. Have you considered getting a group of fellow students together to go on a service trip? Maybe you can partner with a school in another country through providing school supplies or pen pals. This may be the chance to go out and change your world for the better while learning more about the gifts that you have.
STUDENTS
If you are an educator in the health care field or if you work with special care needs children, there may be a unique opportunity to travel and train colleagues overseas. I would encourage you to contact our volunteer services to see where your skills can meet the many needs throughout the region. Summer vacations and sabbaticals are great opportunities to serve around the world. Currently, NE India is looking for nursing instructors, Bolivia is looking for physical therapists/occupational therapists and Haiti could use people experienced with children with disabilities.
